Emergency Changes in response to COVID-19

With the uncertainty of COVID-19 and our concern for the health and safety of our you, our clients, we made several emergency changes to help protect your employees and customers by reducing the chances of spreading the virus.


We’ve enabled a text message approval option for all invoices that are texted to a mobile device in lieu of receiving a signature on the mobile app.

When an invoice is sent via text to a customer, and they respond to that text with “AGREE”, Towbook will add that to the signature line of the invoice along with the phone number, date, and time.

We’ve pulled our “Video” option from beta-testing and have enabled it free of charge for all users in all plans until the National Emergency is declared to be over.

Your drivers can now capture a simple 10-second video of the completed job and the customer approving the work; eliminating the need for the customer to touch the drivers’ phone.

(This option is available on the mobile app and can be used in conjunction with the text message approval option above.)

If your company uses the “Progress Text” feature, we’ve expanded the size limit for the initial job creation text so that you can include a COVID-19 message to customers.

An example message is shown below:

We’ve got your job! To stop the spread of COVID-19, please reply AGREE when your job is complete. This approval will be added to the signature line of your invoice along with your phone number, date, and time.”
